A Note from The Arc of DFW Area President

Thank you for attending The Arc of DFW Area’s inaugural Putts for Progress. Founded in 1971 by dedicated families, The Arc of DFW Area has grown into a robust community of self-advocates, parents, family members, and allies. For over 50 years, we have worked tirelessly to expand opportunities for individuals with disabilities, driven by a shared passion for their rights and inclusion.

This fundraiser is vital in helping us further our mission to empower individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities and their families to live life as they define it through advocacy, awareness, training, and support.

Reverse Raffle Rules

  • Ticket Drawings: Throughout the evening, tickets will be drawn in four batches. Each ticket drawn is eliminated unless you choose to buy back in.
  • To participate in the reverse raffle and buy-back opportunities, you must purchase a ticket prior to the first drawing.
  • Buy-Back Opportunities:
    • After each drawing, there will be a 10-minute buy-back window for tickets eliminated in that drawing.
    • During the buy-back window, please check the screens in the bar or the raffle table to determine if your ticket is eligible for buy-back.
    • Buy-back prices escalate with each drawing:
      • First Buy-Back window: $40
      • Second Buy-Back window: $50
      • Third Buy-Back window: $65
    • A single ticket can be bought back up to three times.
    • The ticket must be included in the drawing to be eligible for buy-back.
    • Eliminated tickets that are not bought back are no longer eligible for the grand prize.
  • Grand Prize: The last ticket remaining after all rounds will win the grand prize of $1,000 in Visa gift cards.

Free Play

Our reserved space includes the Ruby 9-hole miniature golf course and two challenge holes. All guests are free to play individually or with others.

To play the Ruby course, see the course attendant to receive a game ball. The ball will be assigned a number unique to each player. When in free play, please use the system-assigned number as your player name to track your score. Also, because our tournament players have assigned times between 7 and 8 pm, please be courteous in allowing the teams to complete their official round. If you have any questions, see a volunteer in the course area.

To play the challenge holes, just select one of the six games available on the hole’s keypad, enter or select your group members’ names, and follow the instructions on the screen.

Tournament

Your foursome has been assigned a tee time for your official round. Please try to make that time to help us make efficient use of the course.

The tournament will be played on the Ruby course. To begin your round, check in with the course attendant to receive your game ball.

Each member receives a unique ball. Be sure to have the attendant enter your name for the entry to facilitate score keeping. If playing a practice or free play round, your name should not be entered.

Unlike typical miniature golf, your goal is to achieve the highest score. Each hole has a different point system, but generally, the fewer shots needed to complete the hole, the higher your score. Look for bonus point opportunities at each hole but avoid the penalty zones!

The highest foursome and individual score will receive a prize in our closing ceremony.

If you’d like to upgrade your general admission ticket to participate in the tournament, see the check-in table for assistance.

Duck Shoot Challenge

Each of the two challenge holes includes the Duck Shoot game. If you want to put your skills to the test, join the Challenge and put your score up against the best of the rest. To join, just see a payment attendant. The challenge runs from 7-8pm. The person with the highest score receives a prize in our closing ceremony.
