The Self-Determination Group
Our Lives. Our Rights. Our Voices.
Established in 2014, The Self-Determination Group is a cross disability group run by and for individuals with disabilities (“PWD”).
We serve to:
- educate, advocate for, and support the concept of self-determination, and
- take actions that promote the human rights & inclusion of PWD
We are a membership-driven organization – meaning members make all decisions for the group.
Membership dues are $20 and are collected annually. There are two ways to become a member:
1. Mail your completed membership form and payment to:
The Self-Determination Group P.O. Box 14455 Haltom City, Texas 76117
2. Join Online – A convenience fee of $1 is added when you join online.
Members of The SDG automatically become a member of Texas Advocates, receive discounted rates to participate in events we organize, and have voting privileges. Disabled members only have voting privileges.
Areas We Serve
We are honored to be affiliated with The Arc of DFW Area and Texas Advocates.
